Introduction to landscape photography

1 DAY

The best light for outdoor photography is early morning or later afternoon and thats why this course take half of the day starting after lunch.

You learn all you wish to know about taking beautiful landscapes/seascapes and optimizing your camera use. For beginners we concentrate on camera use, use of aperture and shutter, depth of field, the composition. For those more advanced we concentrate more on composition and photography technique.
Our tutors are experienced and professional photographers who will be able to guide you.


WHAT TO BRING
a) Your own digital SLR camera and manual. b) Your own tripod if you have one (not essential). c) Spare battery for digital cameras.d) Sturdy walking boots, appropriate clothing for the Cornish weather including weatherproofs.e) Any prints/images on CD for discussion (not essential) f) Water and some food as we eat on location.

THE DAY
We all meet at the studio to start the course at 3pm. Coffee/tea and biscuits will be served on arrival while we introduce you to the course. Most of the course will happen on location. The course ends at about 9pm.

Walking will be involved to get to the most picturesque locations and the maximum distance involved would be up to 4 miles. The difficulty of the walks all depends on the aspirations of the group and the weather. Walking boots and weather proofs are a must to bring!
